For the last 20 years (and for my entire adult, post-college life) I have been the preaching minister for this church body. From time to time people ask why (and how) a preacher could stay with one church his whole adult life. Longevity with one congregation is not the norm. But NHCC is not the normal church. We are blessed with a spirit of love and unity that is all too rare. We function as a family and the leadership works together as a team. I've been blessed to be a part of the family and the team.

I was born in a preacher's home, and grew up around churches and preachers my whole life. In fact, the Nichols' family is full of preachers, including my four brothers and two nephews, and father-in-law and father (who are both deceased).

In 1985 I received a Bachelor of Biblical Literature (BBL) and a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) from Ozark Bible college in Joplin, MO. My study there included a triple major in Old Testament, New Testament, and Biblical Languages. In 1989 I received a Master of Arts in Theology from Cincinnati Bible Seminary. In 1991 I completed a Master of Divinity in Theology (also from CBS).

Greetings! My name is Ben Walker, and I am the youth minister here at Northern Hills Christian Church. I have a sincere love for the Lord and for teenagers, and God has seen fit to hook me up with a career in which I can exercise both daily. Some of my deepest convictions and most profound joys in this life have been found in this venture. I believe it is my personal charge to assure that every teen under my tutelage has a firm bedrock understanding of the gospel, a disciplined Christian walk, and an understanding of worldviews and religions that will surpass all of their secular peers.

I was born and raised in the greater Cincinnati area, and attended college at both Cincinnati Christian University and Miami University where in the year 2000 I received my B.A. in Sociology, Philosophy, and Comparative Religion. I was hired on as a youth and associate minister by NHCC in the autumn of 2000, and have been here ever since. I am married to a beautiful young lady named Lisa who works part time as an elementary school teacher and full time as a mother. I am the proud father of Grace and Aiden Walker.

Beyond family and ministry, my time is consumed by hanging out with members of the youth group, playing drums, practicing Kung Fu, and the playing of computer games—not necessarily in that order. If you would like to get in touch with me for any reason, please feel free to contact me at nhcc-ben@cinci.rr.com.

Greetings, my name is Todd Jefferson. I am presently the Worship Minister here at NHCC. In addition, I work with our young adult discipleship group where I have the pleasure of ministering to both college and career focused individuals.

I grew up in the Cincinnati area and for a while lived in Columbus. While in high school I met my wife to be, Emily, and shortly after my schooling we were married and have been blessed in our lives together for 12 years.

In June of 2002 God led me to Northern Hills to take on the position of Worship Leader. In doing so, He also helped to shape my understanding of worship and what role I was to play in leading people to His throne and into a closer relationship with Him. My desire here is to move beyond the music and ceremony of the church and help people see that worship is all about God. I want to help motivate people to honestly present themselves to God with loving expressions of worship that are pleasing to Him.

Feel free to contact me at nhcc-todd@cinci.rr.com or by phone at the church office, and if you have the time, feel free to check out my blog at www.pistischristou.blogspot.com. God bless!

Hello... My name is Lynn Seta. I've had the privilege of directing Morning Star Studios Children's Ministry at NHCC for the past seven years. What a blessing and what a fun job! I've always loved children, being the oldest of seven siblings and the mother of four (3 boys and a girl). I also worked for several years at a school for emotionally disturbed children. God has blessed me with these experiences in preparation for this work and I am thankful.

We're a "studio" where Christ is the feature presentation. We're always creating and producing to capture the children's attention. My heart's desire is to see each child commit his or her life to Jesus Christ. There is no greater joy than this. With this in mind, the children's ministry team members and I are mindful of the curriculum and program choices we make. While being careful of our choices, we do like to make it fun!
